Modern Slavery Statement

Last reviewed May 2026

Our Commitment

My Oud is a small independent fragrance business based in Portsmouth, United Kingdom. We are committed to acting responsibly and with integrity in the way we work, source products, and build relationships with suppliers, customers, and partners.

Modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, child labour, and exploitation have no place in our business or in the supply chains connected to our products. We expect everyone we work with to treat people fairly, safely, and with dignity.

Our Business and Supply Chain

My Oud operates primarily online, offering fragrance oils, sprays, discovery boxes, and gifting products. As a fragrance retailer, we work with third-party suppliers, product partners, delivery providers, and service providers to bring products to customers.

We do not own manufacturing facilities. Where we source products or services from other businesses, we expect those partners to comply with applicable employment, health and safety, human rights, and anti-slavery laws.

Our Expectations

We expect suppliers and business partners to operate responsibly and to avoid any practice that could contribute to worker exploitation. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Forced, bonded, involuntary, or trafficked labour.
  • Child labour or unsafe working conditions.
  • Withholding wages, identity documents, or personal freedom.
  • Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or abuse.
  • Unfair recruitment fees or misleading employment practices.

How We Manage Risk

As we grow, we are working to build supplier relationships that are based on trust, transparency, and clear expectations. We aim to understand who we are buying from, where products come from, and whether any concerns need to be raised before continuing a relationship.

If we become aware of a modern slavery or labour rights concern, we will take it seriously, investigate the issue, and take appropriate action. This may include pausing orders, asking for further information, requesting corrective action, or ending a supplier relationship where necessary.

Our approach is simple: we would rather grow carefully with the right partners than compromise on the values behind the My Oud brand.

Awareness and Reporting

Modern slavery can exist in many industries and can be difficult to identify. We remain alert to warning signs such as unusually poor working conditions, lack of transparency, unsafe practices, or suppliers unwilling to answer reasonable questions about labour standards.

Anyone with concerns about modern slavery or exploitation connected to My Oud can contact us directly. Concerns will be reviewed carefully and handled as sensitively as possible.

Ongoing Improvement

We recognise that responsible sourcing is an ongoing process. As My Oud develops, we intend to keep improving our supplier checks, product sourcing decisions, and internal awareness around modern slavery risks.

This statement will be reviewed periodically and updated as our business and supply chain grow.
